USA VEHICLE VERSUS CANADIAN VEHICLE
I saw a feature on a U.S. model of Honda that I would like to have on my Canadian vehicle. Can I get my Canadian dealership to place a special order for me, either for the U.S. vehicle or for the U.S. part or accessory?Generally, this is not possible. Parts and accessories are developed for each specific market where the vehicles are being sold. As there may be some differences between Canadian and U.S. models, there could be problems installing parts or accessories that were not specifically developed for or imported by Honda Canada Inc. Additionally, wiring harnesses in Canadian models may be different than in the "equivalent" model in the U.S., so the electrical circuitry to connect electrical parts or accessories may not exist. Honda Canada cannot import U.S.-specification vehicles for sale in Canada.

Why Buy From a Canadian Honda Dealer?The following are some of the benefits of buying or leasing a Canadian-specification Honda automobile or truck from a Canadian Honda dealer:

Financing and leasing options, not available for U.S.-specification Honda vehicles purchased in the U.S. for importation by Canadian residents

New or used vehicle Canadian warranty coverage, which does not cover new or used U.S.-specification vehicles purchased in the U.S. for importation into Canada

Available Honda Plus coverage for extended warranty, which is not available on new or used U.S.-specification Honda vehicles purchased in the U.S. for importation into Canada by Canadian residents

Availability of 24-hour Roadside Assistance on new Canadian-specification Honda cars and trucks

Timely availability of replacement parts for all Canadian-specification Honda cars and trucks; whereas replacement parts for U.S.-specification vehicles might not be available in Canada, possibly causing lengthy delays for servicing or repairs

New vehicle sales promotions and programs in Canada, including the Honda Grad program eligibility on select models

Canadian-specific climate-related parts, which may include such items as larger windshield washer fluid reservoirs, higher cold-cranking batteries, heated mirrors, heated rear seats, etc.

Eligibility of government tax incentives, such as the federal ecoAuto rebate and provincial rebate programs for hybrid vehicles or other fuel-efficient vehicles.

(Note: Imported vehicles are not eligible for the ecoRebate program, and may not be eligible for provincial rebate programs.)

I looked at the web site www.Honda.com, and it has different information than www.Honda.ca. Why is that?Honda Canada's web site is www.Honda.ca . American Honda's web site is www.Honda.com . Products, services, prices, accessories, promotions, etc. will vary from one country to the other, so if you are looking for information on models, dealerships, services, etc. in Canada, you should be using www.Honda.ca .

RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE, WHAT SHOULD I DO
I received a recall notice concerning my vehicle. What should I do now?Upon receiving a recall notice, please contact your Honda dealer to schedule an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. This will also allow your dealer to give you an idea how long they will require your vehicle – usually less than a day – to perform the repair. The dealer will repair your vehicle free of charge.

CAN A RECALL ON A USA VEHICLE BE DONE IN CANADA
I have a U.S. model Honda, and I am now living in Canada. I have learned that American Honda issued a recall on my vehicle. Can I have the recall repair done at a Canadian Honda dealership?Yes. Although the same recall may not have been issued in Canada, any Canadian Honda dealership can obtain the parts to perform the recall. If the same recall was not announced in Canada, however, or if the recall parts for affected U.S. models are different, the Canadian dealer may have to request a special parts order, which could take some time if the parts have to be ordered in from the U.S.
